Justin the Sound Engineer
As a recording engineer, Justin believes in facilitating the artists’ vision without imposing his own creative will. He specializes in capturing and shaping the sound accordingly to the satisfaction of the artists and producers.
Justin works with any type of audio, including spoken word.
Starting with determining the optimal microphone placement, what equipment best lends to the sound being sought after, and which space is best for the desired sound characteristic, to balancing individual tracks, EQing, applying dynamic processing and effects, and creating final mixes and mastering, he works closely with musicians to translate artistic direction into technical choices.
Justin is meticulous in his approach to capturing clean, balanced and high-quality audio, and monitoring tone, dynamics, and spatial depth.
